Has been in Queretaro since 1979. He graduated in Modern Languages in Spanish from the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro and got his Master in Language and Latin American Literature from Western Michigan University. He was awarded a scholarship by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to study syntax and teach Spanish as a foreign language at l'Université Michel of Montagne Bordeaux 3 in France in 2005.
As a graduate student, has spoken at several conferences of Latin American literature; at Tulane University in New Orleans and the University of Illinois in Chicago. Currently teaches at the Tec de Monterrey Querétaro Campus the Chairs of Contemporary World Literature, Hispanic-American Literature. His passion for reading has led him to discover other places, which as he says, have filled his eyes with landscapes.
